The Foundation for Academic and Vocational Education (FAVE) has the following teaching/staff vacancies for the academic school year 2025-2026​

   

    Teachers​ - Must have experience teaching at the CSEC and CAPE levels

​​​

  • Care (VBC / VSBO)

  • Technical Science (VBC/ VSBO)

  • Mathematics (VBC / VSBO)

  • Theatre Arts/ Performing Arts

  • Information and Communication Technology, computer Science and EDPM

  • Biology

  • Human and Social Biology

  • English / English Literature

  • Entrepreneurship (CAPE)

  • Management of Business (CAPE)

  • Accounting (CSEC / CAPE)

  • French- (CXC experience capable of teaching at CSEC and CAPE levels)

  • Visual Arts


       Requirements for Teachers

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized and accredited University with specialization in subject area.

  • Must be in possession of a teaching diploma

  • Must have at least 3 - 5 years experience within the CXC / CAPE and Vocational Education context

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Must have excellent written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to maintain classroom management / discipline  and deliver engaging lessons

  • The ability to work well in a team environment as well as lead the team

  • Must be computer literate

  • Must be a team player

  • Knowledge in teaching on various digital platforms

  • Must participate in professional development and keep abreast with innovations in education

  • Perform any other related duties as required by the Management and Board of F.A.V.E.

  • Preference for a Dutch citizen or legal resident of St. Maarten

       Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Proven experience in general maintenance or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, and plumbing.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical and electrical issues.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills.
